A universal Tear Off shape that can be used on 2D visors where tear off posts are not originally added as a standard feature on the visor.

The Bob Heath tear off  for converting 2D visors for tear off use, made by Bob Heath Visors.                                                                                                                                      

THESE TEAR OFFS ARE DESIGNED TO BE A UNIVERSAL FITMENT TO ANY SINGLE CURVE 2D RACE VISOR THAT DOES NOT COME EQUIPPED WITH TEAR OFF MOUNTING POSTS – YOU HAVE TO DRILL THE VISOR AND FIT OUR POSTS TO SUIT THE MOUNTING POSITIONS OF THESE TEAR OFFS. MOST VISORS THAT COME WITH TEAR OFF POSTS FITTED WILL REQUIRE THEIR OWN SPECIFIC TEAR OFF .                                                                                                        

These BHV Tear offs are considered a ‘Universal fitting’ (with the posts and screws supplied), you can fit them to most shapes of single curve 2D race visors.

The hole centres of the tear off are approximately 293 mm and there is a small amount of tension adjustment on each tear off post as the fixing holes are slightly off-centre and can be rotated to give adjustment to achieve the desired tension on the film.

To check if your visor is 2D and suitable for Tear Offs, you hold a straight edge vertically to the front face of the visor, it should sit flush against it across the entire visor width, not just touching in the centre. If your visor has a slight 3D curve Tear Off films
will not sit flat against it and would not be suitable.

Please note that fitting of these Tear Offs requires drilling and securing the Tear Off mounting posts/screws
(supplied) to your visor.

You can use Tear Off films on the road or track to help prevent damage to your visor from flying stones/flies ,
to help keep it clean and generally prolong the life of your visor .They give you clearer vision in an instant simply by “tearing off” the film
from your visor to reveal the clean surface underneath.

For high speed use we recommend sticking small strips of clear adhesive tape over and along the edges of the film to help secure them in place as is common practice in motorcycle racing.

It is recommended that you use no more than three tear off films on your visor at a time.
