SIMPSON M40 REPLACEMENT VISORS BHV045

These visors fit the classic Simpson M40 helmets from the 1980,s.

They replace the original Simpson  visor with the part number FC-19.

THEY ONLY FIT SIMPSON M40 HELMETS THAT HAVE PRESS STUD FITTINGS ON THE BOTTOM  CORNERS OF THE VISOR APETURE TO RETAIN THE VISOR IN THE CLOSED POSITION.

These visors  measure 35 cms between the inside edges of the top pivot hole slots.

These are 1.0 mm thick flat visors that are designed to be fitted by simply clipping over the two top edge pivot slots onto the pivot fittings on the helmet and then fastening the two bottom edge press studs to retain the visor in position

The clear visors are BSI approved and fully U.K. road legal, the light smoke tint and dark smoke tint option are non certified for off road use . They give 97 % U.V. light protection. The smoke tint visors have a light transmission of approximately 50% and the dark tint approximately 20%.

Made in the U.K. by Bob Heath visors Ltd from Lexan polycarbonate, these visors have an abrasion resistant coating on both sides.

Tinted visors are recommended for daytime use only and are stamped as such as per the BSI standard requirement.

These BHV  tinted race visors are not legal for U.K. public road use (and possibly other regions.
